THE SACRED HEART CHESS CLUB

The Sacred Heart Chess Club had its tournament on April 12th 2008 , to determine their four representative for attending various National and District School tournaments.
Standings for the tournament are as follows:

Tournament organized by Mr. Micah Williams and assisted by members of The Stann Creek Chess Association. Mrs. Debbie Chun assisted as the computer tournament technician ,Ms. Maritza Villalta, Ian Avilez ,Michelle Chun assisted in supervising boards and assisting with possible outcomes to some games.

Mr. Flores of Sacred Heart School must be commended to taking over his school club.
Additionally Ms. Kimberly Thompson of St. Matthews School was welcomed as she showed interest in getting her chess club going at her school and observing the running and functioning of other clubs in tournament.Such interest and getting of other school clubs going in our District must be credited to the hard work and training in our school District workshop facilitated by the Belize National Youth Chess Foundation.
